Towed a sailing dinghy with 1 pob back to Thurrock yacht Club after it was becalmed.

Woman stuck in the mud at Greenhithe. Freed by Fire Brigade prior to lifeboat arrival.

Searched for and located an angling boat lost in dense fog near the Mucking no.3  buoy. Escorted to its mooring at Thurrock Yacht Club.

Searched Thurrock area for elderly woman believed to have fallen into the river.

Sick man aboard angling vessel alongside at Tilbury. Administered oxygen until ambulance arrived.

Open workboat with 3 pob broken down off Shellhaven in SW gale. Lifeboat stood by whilst craft taken in tow by Harbour Launch Benfleet.

Assisted in re-securing the Port Health Authority launch Lady Aileen, which had broken free of her mooring and was drifting in the river.

Search for vessel reported to be sinking. Call, made via CB radio, considered a malicious hoax.

Yacht Gwenili aground in the Lower Hope, due to a fouled propellor. Prop cleared, and vessel towed back into deeper water.

Search following reports of red flares near broadness. Believed fired from over land.

Woman threatening to jump at Erith. Taken into Police custody before arrival of lifeboat

Towed a 32' motor cruiser to Denton after it hit a submerged object & started taking water near the Tilbury Buoy.

Searched between Tilbury & Mucking Creek for a missing female.

Further search for the missing male from previous day.

Searched between Broadness & the QE2 Bridge for a missing male. Nothing found - search terminated due to darkness.

Searched the area around Crossness for a depressed and possibly suicidal male. Nothing found.

Searched off Erith for a missing suicidal male. Nothing found.

Rendezvoused with Sheerness Lifeboat to take over the tow of a  motor cruiser that had broken down off Allhallows. Towed to a mooring at Gravesend.

Rescued a woman who had entered the water at Gravesend Town Pier, and also a male who had jumped in to try to assist her.

Rescued three people from a capsized dinghy trapped by the tide between the Valentine & Purfleet roro berth. Took occupants to Erith, dinghy floated free & was recovered as ferry left the berth.

Rescued a man in the water from a capsized canoe off Gravesend Promenade.

Person in the water on sandbank east of Canvey. Rescued by Southend Hovercraft.

Towed a yacht to a mooring at Erith after it suffered engine failure and could not sail to windward in Erith Rands.

Report of four people in the water at Crossness. made their own way ashore while the lifeboat was proceeding.

Person threatening to jump into the sea at Canvey. Lifeboat stood down six minutes after leaving berth.

Towed the Polish sail training yacht Jurand to a mooring after it suffered engine failure near the Woolwich Barrier.

Two people in the water at Erith, one trying to assist the other. On arrival, both found to be out of the water and speaking to police.

Person in the water at Tilbury. Lifeboat commenced search, but casualty already ashore & in police custody following domestic dispute.

Air bed with 3 pob reported being blown offshore from Canvey.  Made their own way ashore.

Broken down speedboat in Sea Reach. Got underway again, lifeboat stood down.

Motor vessel Cornish Maiden taking water in Erith Marina.  Pumped  out water, as did fire brigade.

Tender with engine failure at Thurrock Yacht Club. Managed to make it to its yacht unassisted.

Person in the water at Thamesmead. Stood down en route, as they were now ashore & in police custody.

Rescues two females from the water from a rowing skiff off Gravesend Promenade.

Two people in a tender aground & swamped near Thurrock Yacht Club. Towed off, then landed ashore at yacht Club causeway.

Person threatening suicide at Canvey Point. Unsuccessfully, as the tide was out. Found at home by Police.

Assisted a yacht with engine failure onto a mooring at Gravesend.

Assisted a yacht pinned by the tide against moored lighters at Greenhithe.

Search in Long Reach following report of red flare. Nothing untoward found.

Rescued a young deer trapped on the shoreline at Gravesend.

Requested to check on a yacht aground off Allhallows. All OK, and yacht refloated without assistance on the flood tide.

999 call reporting a person threatening to jump into the river at Tilbury. Nothing found - believed by coastguard to be a malicious hoax.

Motor cruiser with engine failure in the Lower Hope. Lifeboat crewman repaired their burst coolant pipe, and they continued on passage.

Rescued two females who had gone swimming from Newbridge Causeway, Gravesend, plus recovered one male on a moored boat who had swum out to assist them.

Person threatening to jump from a jetty at Erith. Lifeboat stood by while he was detained by shore-side police.

Towed the yacht Cabaret from the Mid-Blyth back to its mooring at Gravesend after it ran out of fuel and had difficulty sailing against an adverse wind.

Self-launched to a report of a small craft in difficulties near Grays. After conducting a search of the area nothing untoward was found; believed false alarm made with good intent.

Towed the broken down motor cruiser Whirlwind from off East Tilbury to Thurrock

Search for young boy reported to have fallen from Gravesend Promenade & disappeared under the water. RAF Sea King helicopter also carried out FLIR search. Nothing found.

Diverted from previous incident to search for overdue motor cruiser. Searched as far as the Montgomery wreck - casualty found on the Medway.

Upturned dinghy off Grays. Found on shoreline - no signs of recent occupation.

Yacht Jade ran aground again off Erith. Taken under tow to a mooring at Erith.

Towed the yacht Jade, aground off Denton, into deeper water.

Report of a man stuck in the mud at Grays. Did not need assistance;he was mud bathing to alleviate a skin condition.

Woman stuck in the mud at Thurrock. Refused lifeboat assistance, and made her own way to the shore.

Investigated a report of a yacht listing and maybe taking water at Denton. Found the empty yacht secured on a mooring, but being severely affected by the strong wind and tide.

Towed a yacht back to Thurrock Yacht Club after it got a rope round its propellor off Greenhithe.

People shouting for help off Gravesend Promenade. Made their own way ashore.

Recovered a rescue float found drifting off Tilburyness.

Search involving Gravesend Lifeboat, four local vessels, and Rescue Helicopter India Juliet for six people reported drifting on a liferaft below Gravesend.

Malicious hoax.

Man in the water near Gravesend Promenade. He reached the shore prior to the lifeboats arrival and was arrested by the police.

Searched for a person reported in the water at Thamesmead. Nothing found - believed to be a hoax.

Searched for a person seen to jump from the QE2 Bridge, Dartford. Search cancelled when it was confirmed the jumper was a base jumper who had landed safely.

Called to two people stranded in a dinghy alongside a moored ship at Purfleet. Not in need of assistance - false alarm with good intent.

Dinghy with 2 pob off Canvey Island, getting too close to shipping channel. Gave safety advice, and escorted inshore.

Called to the 7-mtr Motor Cruiser SANDS TACHE, with 2PoB, reporting a fire on-board close to the Northfleet Container Terminal, River Thames.  Turned out to be engine overheating. Towed to Thurrock.

Whilst on exercise near Thorney Bay, observed a person attempting to rescue a child from the water. The child was rescued and put ashore to be met by Canvey Coastguard and Essex Ambulance along with his brother who sustained injuries on the nearby rocks.

Transferred pumps to the Princess Pocahontas after it started taking water alongside at Gravesend.
